Im not sure you would want to use this wood. It looks like the grain is very course, but also, it is running off the board at an angle. I have always heard you want the grain running with the board. At places where you have to twist and bend the strips they may crack. What type of wood is it? (The photo shows strips cut from 1X4 ceder I bought at a local lumber yard in Kansas.)
