Skin-on-Frame: Urethan for ballistic nylon/polyester

Hi!
Having just finished the frame for an Iggy, Im ready to cover the thing. But what exactly do you use to paint the thing? I saw a video of a Shaman kayak being abused, and thought that fitted what I want.
I have used Hempel Diamond varnish some years ago (2 part polyurethan varnish) and THINK it ended up a flexibele finish, but Im not sure..
Which exact products do you use??
