I think there are 4 real options for ballistic nylon.

1) Coelan. Best and most expensive. Should be used as the second skin on that frame you just LOVE LOVE LOVE.

2) Spirit Line 2 part polyurethane (Corey Goop) Reasonably durable, very flexible, reliable IF YOU MIX THE RIGHT AMOUNTS AND MIX WELL. But, it's shiny.

3) Dura-Tuff solvent based polyurethane. About the same price as Corey Goop. Easier to apply if you would rather paint than spread like Corey Goop. Can get 4-5 coats on in one day. Wear a GOOD organic respirator, and coat outside. This stuff is TOXIC and causes headaches. Maybe not quite as flexible.

4) ZAR varnish. Inexpensive, easy to get. Pretty flexible, can only apply one coat a day.

: Hi!
: Having just finished the frame for an Iggy, Im ready to cover the thing. But
: what exactly do you use to paint the thing? I saw a video of a Shaman
: kayak being abused, and thought that fitted what I want.
: I have used Hempel Diamond varnish some years ago (2 part polyurethan
: varnish) and THINK it ended up a flexibele finish, but Im not sure..

: Which exact products do you use??
