Bill, I was worried about that shallow V when I first tried it. The initial stability surprised me because I was figuring that I would not find much. The rocker was the next surprise: creates easier turns but still allows for relatively easy tracking. I think it would make an excellent ice runner but I built this one using very light construction methods so I won't take it out and run the ice pans. I think I might have to build another one and use heavier methods to reinforce it so that it can take the pounding that running ice pans metes out.
