I think the hull shape is much like CD's Caribou, which actually has a section of the bottom that's almost flat, but gets deeply V sections fore and aft. It's also quite stable for it's width. They have several boats now with similiar hull shapes and even those that are extremely narrow are surprisingly stable (even though I tend to sink them ). Friend btw, is a CD dealer so I get to try all their boats, this past summer I think I paddled every one over 15' :)
