It definitely helps if you can get your workspace heated up as much as possible. The warmer the, space the better the result you will obtain.

Additionally, if your cloth is on a roll you may find that it will be cold when you pull it off the roll even, if the room has been warmed up for a while. You don't want this, as your epoxy will immediately cool on contact with it.

You need to heat the room overnight ideally, as the boat will take longer to warm up than the air around it.

Get the first coat on when the heat is at maximum and then switch the heaters off an leave. The first coat should be hardening in a dropping temperature to avoid the dreaded phenomena of outgassing.

It the picture you can see that I use a plastic tent to contain the heat from some electric heaters. I tend to have free time in winter and I always curse the low temperatures I am able to generate, even with the plastic tent.
