: Darn, feel like I have a ton of questions for forum people...but...being
: first time....everything is so new. Am ready to start filling little gaps
: and cracks in the hull. planing/sanding kinda brought out some spots where
: coves covered small gaps. Have sawdust and the flour stuff. Do I HAVE to
: use the MAS resin...or can I just use one of the doubleTubed epoxy things
: you buy at Home Depot? or even mix in the sawdust with the Triton glue???
: No clue about what effect the fiberglassing later on??!? HELP!
Bill's right. A water based filler in a red oak color seems to do the trick with cedar. Do it before any sanding--that's best--although you can do touch ups later. He recommends Elmer's. My supplier carries Zar, which worked fine on our latest project, and there was no fussing about trying to get a color matched.
