Thanks Robert. The Alaskan yellow cedar is an interesting wood: fibrous, very pungent to cut, and predictably easy to use. Montana is due to freeze soon, just like your home, so winter storage may be the case. I would like to varnish it now, but my timing will be better later. At least it will be stored in the dark.
