: I want to give this building method a try. I Googled Hot melt glue and got
: more than I bargained for. Guns from $5.00 to $100. Glues with varying
: adhesion qualities. So what do I need?
: I have a $6.00 gun and some glue sticks I bought at a dollar store. Is that
: adequate?

I'm not sure what you mean hot glue would be adequate for but if you mean adequate for glueing the strips together, I can't imagine how anyone could successfully glue strips with hot glue. It hardens very fast so joining more than a foot or two before it sets would be hard. It is also gets thick as soon as it starts to cool so getting the strips tight to each other would be hard (it cools pretty fast). Finally, it is messy and you end up with lots of it outside the joint which you then have to get rid of. Well that's just my opinion, maybe you should try glueing a few test strips to decide for yourself (try getting rid of the excess as part of the test too.)
