Why do you say things like this, Charlie? Everything is transferable, you just need to use bigger materials to get the job done.
If it weren't transferable, how do you explain the wide variety of size differences using lapstrake, stitch and glue and sandwich laminate techniques, to name but a few? Strip built hulls of large proprtions have been built successfully.
I encourage the original poster to continue his search for more information regarding his question and to consult with a qualified marine engineer, should he find himself in the business of seriously pursuing this possibility.
