Saw a discussion on Qajaq and thought I would ask here. What sort of life do you expect from your nylon skin on a boat? Assuming no accidents, no cuts or damage to the skin.

Some of these guys are saying as short as 3 years. I would think that as long as you don't damage the skin, you could just recoat and keep going? Am I wrong? Is the life span that short? Unless you damaged the skin itself I find that hard to believe.
