You might try contacting the folks at Bear Mountain Boats ... in addition to their plans for regular-size canoes and kayaks, they have built "war canoes" for some of the clubs around here ... I've seen them with about 20 people in them but never anywhere close to 50 paddlers. They may be able to point you in the right direction.
