Hi,

Thanks for the responses. And letting me know the name for the process :-). I figured it would work, but wasn't sure.

Yes, the finish wouldn't be as good straight off as from a mould, but as someone stated it would be easier than making a new mould. Or copy the boat, and use that (smooth) inner surface as a female mould?

I knew someone would bring up the copyright issue! :-)

Bill, I was going to copy a K1 too (and may do now it works). The original was designed by a friend so no copyright issues there.

Will post pics if I do it!
