G'day Darren,
i was also going to mention the book that Charles wrote of. I purchased it last week after participating in a Vacuum Bagging & Resin infusion course.
You can get a very good finish with Vac bagging and using peel ply. This would also help you keep the weight down. Of course you would need access to a Vac pump. A bit of time on youtube helps with learning the process.
