That's an interesting question. After thinking about it a bit, I decided that I'm pretty happy with one deck I've done .... out of nine. Well, make that two, but lemme get to that in a minute. As I always say, and as Wesley points out, we're building equipment here; not tea tables. None of the flaws in any of my decks bother me in the least, except for one thing: you gotta point 'em out to all the dummies who never see them unless you insist.

On my latest build I decided to go with a simple centerline "racing stripe" as the feature. Turned out it wasn't quite so simple as I thought; you gotta get everything just exactly right or all those points line up off kilter, and it's pretty much glaringly obvious. I pulled off about half a dozen strips and started over when I saw it was going to be impossible to fake my way out of. On attempt number two it came out perfect, and now I'm very glad indeed I took the time to give her the "front end alignment".
