For blackened resin you're looking for graphite to color it, it's what's in copier toner that makes it black. I just buy it from West Marine, it's West Epoxy's graphite, pretty cheap and a little bit goes a really long ways, that can will last thru several projects.

Supposed to warm up some today, might get a pix of my CF coaming to post here. You can definately see the CF in the layup.
