I have been using west systems and 207 here in south florida and it has been great.Cristal clear. I have to try to stear you away from varnish if I can.Varnish is good but this is better.I would recommend automotive high solids clear instead. Find a spray booth with heat.Hang the kayak. Put 3 coats on, bake on low temp(about 90 deg for about 45 min). And let set for the rest of the day.It will be like glass and you can put in the water the next day.Most high solids auto clears also have very good UV.Cars sit in the sun for years. Make shur it is a 2 part urethane.You wont be sorry and fast with no dust. This is what I use here in south fl. kirk
