I have a Mystery and will confirm the long turning circle. It's a fast boat though and if you're on flat water it's great. In rough water it's a bit tender but it's much easier to turn -while on wave crests. It tracks better than anything obviously.

Two boats I like are the E18 which is similar to an Epic 18 in dimensions or the Nordic Arrow if you can get hold of the plans.
The Nordic Arrow is similar to a Mystery but with curves and more rocker.
