Yes, I just used a small bead of hot glue at each form. Worked just fine. I continued to use hot glue as needed for any strip wanting to pull away from the form. No glue if it seemed to hold flush. I did not use hot glue as a means to clamp strips to each other though, just to hold them to the forms. In this method I could really only get one strip a day on while the wood glue dried. My yak is nearing completion and I only had to use 1 staple.
