Greetings, gang. I went out for a fun little paddle Friday, but it apparently just wasn't my day. Snapped my paddle in half, and found problems with my canoe when I got back. Both are mostly repaired by now, and will be back in service by Tuesday probably, but here's what I want to ask about:
I've had to take a little glass off and apply a patch to other boats more'n once before, but can't recall ever having anything quite like this. The glass had been breached and a little water got in, but I was pretty sure it was all bone-dry before re-gooping anything. The wood I had to bare turned a deep chocolate color as soon as the fresh 'poxy hit it. MAN, I'd sure like to know how to make it do that on purpose! I'm also mighty glad I don't get too hung up on looks ..... but still, DANG! Know what I mean? Oh well, if this is my worst problem today, I'm blessed, right?
Any comments? Ideas? Smarty-pants remarks?
