Not sure about this model in particular (I'm new to this) but it seems some SOFs are intended to have the heels/toes poke down/up creating bumps in the skin and thus have a relatively slim kayak with more foot room than a hard shell of the same proportions would allow. I personally would not want my feet to have to exert pressure on the skin in any way as after a few minutes I suspect that would cause the same sensation as wearing a shoe a size too small -;) Not to mention the effect on hydrodynamic shape of a bump on the hull...

But I would also not want to scale things uniformly across all dimensions just for more foot-leg room. Idedally it's got to be done in a more "intelligent" way, but rising the foot area only or changing the cockpit shape/angle. If it was me, I'd only change the hull/deck shape/dimensions elsewhere if I had another reason to do it, such as changing the overall displacement or if I were after achieving some particular handling characteristic that is different in the original...
