Hi Mark

I used Sweet Composites plain weave (6533) on my first boat and had no previous experience 'glassing. Everything went fine. As others say, you can see the weave but only up close. If you want to see an example of weave visibility, you can look at the close up of the logo on the boat with the light coloured deck: http://www.flickr.com/photos/9239236@N05/show/
