Do you think it would be helpful to wet the wood w/ a damp cloth to get better bonding? And I do think it is helpful as air bubbles have developed in the past in areas which were not filled. At least that has been my experience (perhaps this would be avoided if I put a coat of epoxy on before I apply the glass, which I have not done)
