great board .

Ive decided what S&G kit Im going to build (coho). Borealis xl was tempting but I just think its too wide and I couldnt find any owners to get info from .

anyway Ive seen a ton of pictures on the internet of deck rigging (doing a blind hatches so no straps on those) and the various hardware choices.

if you would all be so kind what is your preffered method and actualy how much rigging do you like??.

I would always do drill fill drill if using screws.

1) nylon strap loops: seems simple and out of way!! ive seen screwed to hull or redfish style blind/flush (water entry point due to slot cut for strap though???)

2) nylon cable clamps : similar to #1 just screwed into deck

3) padeyes: nylon, brass or stainless heavier and raised.

4) just a hole in boat with line through it Lines Knottted perhaps with gromet, (water enty point again though ?)

finally do a full blown touring scheme IE: bow /stearn bungie hold downs for gear and front back grablines ??? or a lesser pattern (at least at first??) the fewer holes the better.

ill be mostly day paddling alone but with others and groups at times which could result in rescue/assisting other sort of thing.
