I built a router table top a few years back - one that I can use on a stand or pick up and carry outside and use on saw horses.
Masterfull craftsmanship, nice drop in base insert made of lexan, easy to use fence except... I forgot about the router handles and I didn't make the insert big enough to pull the router out from the top - duhhh.

I still have to attach the router from the bottom which is the reason I made it in the first place. So be fair warned.
