: out far enough to clear the bit and add a sacrificial fence of
: pine. Make a cut-out for the bit and adjust this fence so it is

If you read the captions under my posted images then you already know that I learned my lesson. The oak strip shot out like a bullet and smacked into the garage door. I will be taking today off from doing anything so don't worry. I understand what you mean by using a pine fence with a space cut out for the bit to turn in so I will get that set up when I get back into the garage. I like that idea better than what I have right now (which is none). I'll post pics later this week once I have done what I need to do and have a test piece run through. Thanks for the advice, I need all of my fingers for next year's run to Hudson Bay.
