Second the fiberglass tube fittings. I've done them on 5 boats. They're simple and work great. You do need to seriously plan how your lines are going run each line: one cord per hole... The link will take you to the last time I installed them.

My oldest daughter (and official kayak tester) was two in the picture... She'll be 4 in a few weeks. Man, time FLIES!!!
