: want to tear along the grain. It also typically doesn't have as
: even color as cedar. It can go from yellow to pink to brown in
: one board. It seems to wick moisture so store it carefully. It
: works very easily just like cedar. Again you have to watch
: tear-out and splintering, but with sharp tools it should be a
: pleasure to work with.

Btw, I've got some really nice cypress here if I can ever get my table saw to perform again. It's all 2" thick so takes a little power to rip it. I've got 4 pieces little over 2" thick, by about 12" wide and 8' long all clear. Makes lots of boats if I could only rip it.
