Thanks all, for the suggestions. The story is this - my wife landed at one of our local launches, one that is slick as the proverbial sn*t on a door knob. The keepers of the launch had put down a metal mat/grate to help with the slipping and she dragged the Arctic Tern across that thing to get out of the way of the other 20 people landing behind her - ouch! That grate wore through the 2 layers of glass on the stern keel line in nothing flat.

That's why I want something industrial strength on her keel...
