: So everythings going great - I've glassed the outside of this
: stripper, ready to CF the coaming - and winter (and low temps)
: arrive.
: As it turns out, I'm not really 'okay' with waiting for spring.
: Someone suggested moving into the living room. Surprisingly,
: that wasn't met with much enthusiasm by my first wife. But I
: think I can shoehorn into my basement, but it'll be tight - and
: will make maneuvering around the washer/dryer 'difficult' - so I
: don't think, long term, it will be allowed.
: So why can't I move the schedule around a bit? I'm supposed to
: build up the coaming first, ala One Oceans protocol, then FG the
: inside. To do that, I'd have to move the boat home, do the
: coaming, return to the cold shop to do the sanding of the
: interior, then return, again, to the basement (heated to a
: lovely 70 degrees). I figure - remove the shells from the mold,
: sand the interior, return to the mold and tape/strap for the
: trip to the basement, and do the whole enchilada.
: Any holes in my plan?
Should work, welcome to boatbuilding in the winter :)
I've pretty much given up doing that, I just wait till it warms up a bit in the spring.
