: practice for the next one. I'm building it without cove and bead
: or staples. Well... one staple so far. All the joints have been
: coming out nice and tight. No filler needed yet. Design is a
: Guillemot Great Auk narrowed to 23". I have light and dark
: Cedar from H.D., African Padauk, Figured Maple, and some Spruce
: too. The pinstripe area is alternating Figured Maple and light
: Cedar with 1/8" Padauk between. The fine 1/16"
: pinstripe is spruce. The hardwoods will make it a bit heavier
: but hopefully not much. I have no idea how it will look once
: wetted out. Hoping for the best. I know the Padauk will turn
: dark blood red and eventually darken more toward brown. I'm
: hoping the waves in the figured Maple will stand out.
