Strip: End Pours of NOT?

18 foot Night Heron. NO hatches. End pour looks...fairly difficult. Saw in a book where guy made a small dam around 6" from bow/stern in hull...then filled it with epoxy. He used MICROballoons to take up space. googled Micro stuff. More than one option. One place ...fiberglass Supply had 32 oz for $4.30...other places it was as much as $30 ....is there a certain kind I should use? anyone know the ration of Micro to epoxy?
