Skin-on-Frame: Bending mahogany- no worries!
Hello all,
Mark this down for the storehouse of useless knowledge in case someone brings it up again. I just steam bent some mahogany for a wood surfboard (for the rails) and I just heated up a big pot of water on the stove and stuck the mahogany over the top, and it bent very easily by hand. I do believe I've found my rib material for the SOF kayak project. It should be quite beautiful too- probably will hate to skin the thing.
