I used the dam method ... easy and works fine. Before the deck and hull are attached ... just make a little dam out of foam or whatever ... and make the end pour with filled epoxy. I used Cabosil aka fumed silica. Whether you use Cabosil, microballons or whatever ... the mixture isn't critical as long as it's water tight, doesn't crack and sticks to the boat.
