Just was wondering if anyone has

That's what I thought, too, when I inherited my dad's old Delta 14". After years in the salt air of Laguna Beach the blocks and adjusters were trash, so I switched to the Carter units and like them very much. I also changed the tension spring and got an aftermarket wheel-type adjusting crank for tensioning--also highly recommended, as old saws tend to have sacked-out springs that won't allow proper blade tension, and Delta's twisty knob is way frustrating to use.
