Skin-on-Frame: 7 ounce dyson fabric

Hi,

Nearly to the finishing stage of my Yost sea tour 15exp frame and looking for feedback on the fabric of choice (nylon). If i get myself a digital camera any time soon, i'll definitely post pics (calling santa...)

Are there any users of G. Dyson's 7 ounce nylon cloth on the board ? I'd really like some feedback on this fabric.

How does it compare to #10 cotton duck for abrasion, durability and strength ?

Does a lighter fabric go slack more easily than a heavier one ? How much harder is it to get a 12 ounce fabric to conform to the kayak's shape ? Also, i'm a little concerned about overtightening of the fabric and distorting the frame. I presume this would be harder to do with a light fabric than with a heavier one.

I might use jaccard acid dye (not sure yet) and Coelan as coating and don't intend to take this kayak out on rock-strewn waters.
