: Just finished glassing the deck on my first build. I'm a bit

: run into this again. I'm not new to fiber-glassing, just
: transparent layups. I used 6oz open weave glass from Noah's, Mas
: slow resin, heated shop to 85 along with resin, cooling to 80
: during layup, mixed small batches on a flat plate tray, applied
: with 3" West Systems roller, kept rolling to a minimum to
: reduce foaming. The areas that seemed worst were at the lap
: joint where I stopped to mix a new batch of epoxy then came back
: and continued the wet out. It's obvious the resin isn't
: completely soaking into the glass but I'm not sure what more I
: can do. I'm not starving it and I'm working as fast as I can and
: not dilly-dallying. While I'm wetting it out I can kind of see
: the trouble spots. If I take some time to massage the resin in
: that helps but still some areas just wont take completely. I
: have not ever worked with Mas Epoxy, maybe that's it, but it
: seemed fairly thin. I have used West Systems before and found it
: to be quite thick. I have also used Proset on a glider project
: and liked it quite a bit. I might try that next time. Maybe the
: glass is the problem? Or maybe I should use a squeegee instead
: of a roller and work it more?

I'm not familiar with MAS epoxy and slow hardener. Do you know how long it was before your wet-out glass was tack free?

Did you squeegee off excess resin after rolling on the resin to wet-out the glass?
