In Response To: S&G: Looking for Good Free Design (John Caldeira)
: I'm looking for offsets or design specs for a general-purpose or
: high performance S&G sea kayak. Would greatly appreciate
: pointers to websites or books that contain a good designs.
: The New Kayak Shop has CLC's Chesapeake 16, but I am looking for
: others. Mostly what I've found so fare are more like bathtub and
: barge designs, but I need boats for open water.
: Thanks,
: John
How about the Squeedunk Cormorant? Looks pretty good as a hybrid and can be built as long or short as you need by changing the spacing between the forms. Here's the url: http://www.squeedunk.com/c-16.htm
