Hi John,
Couple things to think of. One there is a fire risk with tents, the plastic burns if it's heated too much so you have to use care to not allow the plasic to ever touch any of the heating surfaces.
Two, if the boat is to be painted there's less of a problem doing this (curing at a low temperature) but you'll get significant pattern showing curing with low temperatures that you'll easily be able to see if the boat is to be finished bright (varnished). Warmer is better.
