The new year is quickly approaching and I hope to be finished with my first build this spring. I would like to get to a few wooden boat shows or kayak meets this summer, show off my build and see and test paddle others. Maybe zero in on my next build. Being new to kayaking I'm not real familiar with events yet. I'd like to keep it local but wouldn't mind traveling to one can't miss event. I am located in Minnesota but east or west coast not totally out of the question.

I'm looking for event names, dates, locations, links, maybe a bit of a review.
