Do you know about the QajaqUSA forum (http://www.qajaqusa.org/cgi-bin/GreenlandTechniqueForum_config.pl)? Many many hardcore SOF builders on that forum, and plywood frame and stringer construction isn't excluded (hey, it's still skin on a frame!)

Because I'm lazy and I don't feel like sourcing wood for rib bending, and because I have a half a sheet of plywood to build another plywood frame and stringer kayak, it's going to be a weird hybrid of ply-frame and traditional construction. It's going to be lashed, rather than glued, and I anticipate a mortised wood masiq/aajaq seeqqortarfiq, and the ends are going to be fitted and lashed in more of a traditional fashion.

Hey, I've got books on traditional building, and resources, so why not mix and match how I like? Heh!
