Yep, that is what I had to do. I broke a couple of joints by accident, sanded them and reglued them to better affect. The grain was rough at the ends so the glue did not take properly the first time I tried it. I still have minor gaps at the joints but I will be using thickened epoxy to fill them. I know the epoxy will only strengthen the joints where the glue wasn't applied.
