I knew there had to be a kayak connection somewhere in this. The winner of the last little America's cup, 'Alpha' was designed by Steve Killing who is also the designer for Bear Mountain boats.
The little America's Cup has a much more Corinthian spirit. The competitors actually talk to each other offering advice and help when needed. They have advanced the sport in many ways from hull shapes to wing masts - now used on the big boats.
