ettienne, maybe I can incorporate a cup holder in mine too. :-) Had not seen that one but it is along the lines of what I have in mind. I plan on keeping the gear to minimum. I am thinking along the lines of one small tackle box. Cooler, 2 rods max and paddle. The more I look at it the more sense a canoe makes to me for fishing.

Bill, I don't want a boat with much tracking. On these waters I like a boat that will spin pretty quick. Nothing like going through a swift water section sideways and wrapping your boat around the one bolder in the way. ;-) A buddy of mine did that with my dads fiberglass canoe. I thought it was there to stay! I much prefer a quick turning boat on these creeks.
