: The ply that is currently available to me to make my S and G is so
: very pale/blonde/white/pine like. I would like it to be a darker
: wood. What can i use to stain it that will also allow clear
: epoxy to "stick" after staining?. I presume it is an
: issue of what is the solvent base? Perhaps there are other
: factors?
: I can get coloured two part epoxy "paint" but at this
: stage would rather have it wood coloured.
: Any advice would be welcome.
: Thanks
Have you tried ammonia fuming? It is easy to use and can darken a lot of wood without changing the epoxy sticking property.
You may be able to Google Furnture building web site for detail instruction.
Good luck.
