Ok, first off - I blame Malcolm and his hollow-wood-surf board beauty. I looked at his pictures, followed his links and checked out the site that sold the kit he used. That led me to realize that A) I really want to build a surf board and, B) I've never actually surfed and finally, C) I probably wouldn't make a good surfer. (I'm "clumsy" at best and don't have easy access to real surf.)

However, I've got lots of great water for a stand-up paddleboard. So, I've gotten thinking about building one of those instead.

I'm a cheap miser when it comes to paddling, so I wondered if anyone had tackled building a SOF SUP. I found a link for an article that talks about getting one started, but it didn't see it through or talk about how it went.

Anyway, ideas? thoughts? witty commentary?
