Hello all,
Sometimes we take things for granted and forget to thank those that put them in place. As I was preparing to 'glass the deck of my kayak I remembered the first time I did that and how terrified I was. Now I spread out the cloth, lay out the tools, and start going at it without much worry. I thought about all the knowledge I have gained from this board, and what a great bunch of people they are. I want to thank Nick for creating and maintaining the board, and thank all those that have shared knowledge here.
I've posted on other boards for other interests and many times you get "that guy" that just wants to start something or show off his ego. Thank goodness we don't have that here. I think the difference is that here we are all both woodworkers and kayakers, and that's a unique combination. We love beauty and creativity, and I think we're just willing to listen to ideas and offer guidance rather than argue over what's better. In the end we may have all had different opinions or ideas, but we shared knowledge and I think we have all grown through that.
Thanks Nick, and thanks all for a great board and great group of folks.
