: Hi all-
: I've finally bit the bullet and I'm taking a whitewater class this
: winter. The local WW club has a lock on off-season pool
: practice, so it's partly a way to get into the pool. I'm used to
: using a Greenland paddle, and the right-hand control is making
: my wrist hurt. I'm trying to find a 0° offset paddle, but for
: the price I could buy enough carbon fiber for two paddles. I've
: never bought a boat or paddle before, so this is new territory
: for me.
:Any two piece paddle can be drilled for 0 degrees offset. Do it yourself.
I have had very good service from Aqua-Bound paddles. They have put any blade I want on any shaft I want and make or drill them to any offset.
I like their Shred and Splat paddle blades for WW and even use the Shred blade for my sea kayaking paddle.
Unless your are competitively running WW gates or always paddling into strong winds, there is little reason for a feathered WW paddle.
