I can relate to that slicing the finger thing. While putting a bevel on the very first hull shear strip, I snicked the end of my middle finger with a wicked sharp block plane. Didn't even know I'd done it until the strip got "sticky". Wasn't serious, but I left the bloody fingerprints on the inside of the hull so that if necessary, the boat can be id'd by DNA...
