Strip: Greenland paddles

Wood (intended)like to make a Greenland-like paddle out of one piece of wood. Have seen tons of pictures. BUT..none show if one side of the Greenland ends are curved/concave. It looks like they might be FLAT on BOTH sides?? Just going to have my Night Heron on small lakes so I don't need anything for Heavy Water.
